About Team

Natural Language Processing plays an essential role in our society when it comes to communication. We interact and understand each other with human language, and how do humans communicate with robots or computers?
This subject is necessary in daily usage by having the robot or machine as their assistance. For example, machines can understand human language through text messages, speech and images. The enhancement of NLP is very demanding in this contemporary society because human beings need to be interactive and user friendly with the current technology to make their lives easier and more comfortable.
NLP Research team is working on several projects in:
  1. Improving Khmer ASR
  2. Khmer Text-to-Speech
  3. Khmer Chatbot
  4. Khmer Neural Machine Translation
  5. Khmer Universal Machine Translation
  6. Front Desk Receptionist Robot
  7. Khmer Encoding and Discrepancies
The results of these projects are put to serve Government, Educators, NGO-s, and enterprises.
Our mission is to support and develop Cambodia's digital innovation ecosystem through:
  1. Dynamic and sustainable R&D on Khmer NLP.
  2. Provide R&D consultation on Khmer NLP technology.
  3. Provide Khmer NLP technology transfer to the public and private sector.
  4. Jointly promote R&D ecosystem on Khmer NLP.
